Visitor's Day

Come and see what "Learning Differently" really looks like!

Once a month we hold an official “Visor’s Day.” During the visit, perspective families are escorted into all of our Slingerland classrooms and get to watch, first hand, what we do everyday. The comments I hear afterwards are usually of awe and surprise at how well the students respond to the curriculum. Seeing how comfortable all the students are with the Slingerland approach gives solid comfort to them knowing that we are not just putting on a ‘thing’ for their visit. We do this everyday and the students are improving everyday.

After the classroom experience, visitors are encouraged to stay and chat with me or any of the staff that we can pin down long enough for them to answer questions about what they observed in their classrooms. We are fiercely proud of what we do and love to show off to any and all that take time out of their day to come and check us out

Our next Visitor’s Day is this coming Wednesday, December 5, 2018. The time commitment for visitors is from 8:45 to 10:00 am, longer if time for questions is needed. See you then?
