Below you will find the answers to some of your most frequently asked questions. If you’d like further information after reading the answers below, you are welcome to take a look at our student handbook (found on the Home page of this website). As always, you are welcome to give us a call with any additional questions you may have.



What is the dress code for Stellar Academy?

We expect our students to dress in a way that shows respect for themselves, for others, and for their school. Students may not wear any clothing that distracts from the learning experience. Specifically, we do not allow:

  • Shirts that expose the midriff or that are cut below the collarbone
  • Sleeveless shirts
  • Shorts or skirts that do not pass the “fingertip-length” test
  • Clothing that promotes drug- or gang-related activity
  • Open-toed or backless shoes
  • Clothing that is excessively large or small for the student

All clothing (with the exception of socks or leggings) must be of solid color without decorative trim or embroidery. Stellar Academy logos/shirts are acceptable and available for purchase in our front office.

We reserve the right to determine whether a student’s clothing is appropriate for school. For more details regarding our dress code, please review the Student Handbook which can be found under the Parents topic on our Home page.

What will happen if my child becomes ill at school?

If a student becomes ill, we will attempt to notify a parent or guardian promptly, and we will care for the student in our front office until a parent or guardian arrives. If the situation becomes a medical emergency, we will follow standard emergency procedures. Please keep your emergency contact information accurate in our front office, so we can contact you as quickly as possible. If your child becomes ill at school (or at home) and is experiencing vomiting, fever, or diarrhea, please keep him/her comfortable at home until he/she is symptom-free for 24 hours.

Do you participate in school lunch programs?

No, we don’t. As a private school who rents its facilities, we do not have the capacity to prepare or serve hot lunches. Full-day students should plan to bring a sack lunch to school every day unless otherwise notified. Through the generous help of parent volunteers, we are able to cater hot lunch one day per week. Due to student allergies, we ask our students not to share food and for families to refrain from sending nuts/nut products to the school.

Can I visit my child (or my child’s teacher) at school?

We appreciate parental involvement at Stellar and welcome your volunteer hours. For more information about volunteering, please see our Support Stellar page. However, due to the intensive nature of instruction at Stellar, we ask that all visits take place on an appointment only basis. To make an appointment with your child’s teacher or to visit your child’s classroom, please contact our front office.

Can I set up a payment plan for tuition?

Yes. We offer two different ways to pay for tuition at Stellar. You may:

  • pay tuition up front and receive a generous discount.
  • pay tuition over a 10-month period of equal installments.
