TGIF (Tasty Grazing In Frosting))

My Weekly Friday Message 8/30/2019

Dear Stellar Families,

Welcome Back!!

This email is to welcome all of our new families and our returning families back to Stellar. With very few exceptions, I send out a TGIF email every Friday.

It is my hope that you made some life long connections at Back to School Night on Monday. We are, proudly, a small but mighty force of nature. As I type this, I am listening to a lot of laughter coming from our classrooms. The year has gotten off to a wondrous start and it will only get better.

Volunteers are needed to collaborate on our annual yearbook. Our team lead from last year 'graduated' and we need at least 2 creative individuals to take this on for the school year. It involves wandering around at each event with a camera and quite a bit of work on the yearbook platform, at home, to get it done. We have a digital file folder of pictures from multiple sources, so the hard work is really choosing which shots and which page template to use in the final product.

Additionally, I would like for a volunteer to take over our social media outreach - Facebook and Twitter (didn't even know we had a Twitter account, but apparently we do!!!) We've not had one in several years and I think it is important enough to reactivate the responsibility.

Random Donation Request:

This coming Wednesday (9/4) we will be starting our Enrichment rotations. Coach Amanda could really use yarn for her class. We have the crochet  hooks, but not the yarn (yet.) If you have THAT storage space filled with yarn you aren't using, we would like to have it please.

***Calendar clarification*** Grandparents day is not an event at our school. It is an opportunity for all of us to be grateful for the generation that came before us. That being said, I have heard that some schools do a "thing" in honor of the day and my brain is thinking that next year we just might...

Have a great 3 day weekend and we will see all of you on Tuesday!

P.S. I was going to wait until next week to share these pictures from our buddy meet-up today, but they are so cute, I just couldn't wait. They are attached!

Warmest regards,

LoriAnn Abrahams
