TGIF (Toto Got It Fine)
My Friday weekly message 9/25/20
Dear Team Stellar,
This was parent/teacher conference week. Each of you got to virtually chat with at least one of your child's teachers. So, for the next 2 1/2 months, it's head down, moving forward and working hard (and having fun doing it!!!)
I have attached, for your reading pleasure, our COVID Guidelines for safe return to school. This is NOT the plan that I submitted with the County Office of Public Health, but rather a more user friendly version. We take our temperatures daily and, as you learned, when you brought your student for their initial testing, their temp. was taken then as well. Pages 1 -3 are specific to our families. Page 4-6 are specific to staff and pages 7-8 are bulleted points for those that don't want to read the whole thing.
Next Wednesday, during our SIP tool kit pick up and drop off, a similar routine will be followed. The pictures will be taken in Room 7 with a masked Mr. Walter and your child. You will be watching from the window... The pick up stations will be out of doors manned by volunteers/staff/me. Brenda will be manning a table to take payment for picture packages and for October's tuition. We would be happy to take your post dated check and won't deposit it until it is actually due. If you want to fill out the safety protocol form from home, it is conveniently attached below in the guidelines document (page 3)
From our Student Council: Our year long community service project will be benefiting Sea Horse Ranch in Half Moon Bay. This organization was chosen because, during the emergency evacuations of livestock during the fires, this small ranch took on any and all large animals (and a few chickens) for free to the evacuating families. The owner of the ranch, Willa, said "because that is what good neighbors do..." We thought that went above and beyond what a good neighbor does and we are going to reward them with our support. Stay tuned for what that support will look like (**spoiler alert** currie combs/brushes and hoof picks.... )
AND our first "Fun Day" will be Wednesday, October 7. The theme is "Music Day" and in order to participate, you will need to dress up as your favorite musical artist.
Starting Monday, Stellar is thrilled to welcome back to our small but mighty community Colin J.! We're not sure who is more excited - him or us!!! Welcome home, Colin.
