Welcome and thank you for your interest in Stellar Academy! If you need information about the registration process or want to register your child for our upcoming school year, you’ve come to the right place. Stellar Academy for Dyslexics has a proven track record of helping children, who have been identified as having Specific Language Disability (SLD), become accomplished at reading, writing and spelling. The object of our program of structured literacy design is to equip 2nd - 8th grade students with strategies that allow a return to regular public or private school placement.
Each student is given a Slingerland® screening test to identify symptoms of dyslexia that will be addressed by the specialized instruction we use - the Slingerland® approach.
Records and information regarding the student’s potential needs are required during the evaluation process.
Parents meet with Stellar’s Director.
Application and Registration Fee are submitted.
Each student must attend Summer Camp or receive a minimum of 10 hours of Slingerland® tutoring to confirm its fit with the child’s needs.
Stellar Academy does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, religion, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational or financial assistance policies.

Tours are also a great way to familiarize incoming students with their surroundings and alleviate some of the stress children face when routines change. We offer tours on the first Thursday of each month, promptly at 8:45 a.m. Please contact us if you would like to participate.
Tutoring is provided in 1:1, 1:3, and 1:6 student: instructor ratios. Please contact the office for availability and registration.
